The Kitty & Dick Suite

Okay so this past week I attended Micheal Knights Kitty Litter review sponsored by Hennessy. It was suppose to be a fashion show for his new lingerie line Kitty & Dick, so I thought.

Hmmm, where do I begin? It was good to see the turn out was good for this show. Micheal Knight is an Atlanta home town hero. Even though he did not win Project Runway I believe he is a likable designer. And Atlanta loves some M. Knight. The venue was Opera which was absolutely gorgeous since it's own renovations. The place was packed with a host of local celebrities ranging from D. Woods from Piddy's Making the band, Joi, D blanks celebrity photographer. Even Princess from Crime Mob came out to show some support. Word on the street is Micheal Knight could be assisting Ms. Princess with her new image since Crime Mob is no longer.

While waiting for show time. I took the time to check out some of the fly fashions in the room. Atlanta has really upped it's game for fashion. And events like this brings it all out.

So the show starts and we are introduced to Kitty Litter, an all female dance sensation that is a mixture of Pussy Cat Dolls meets the fly girls. You remember the Fly Girls from In Living Color. I totally loved the choreography of the girls, but the show itself was flat. I thought I was going to see a fashion show with lingerie instead it was more like a cabaret show displaying what I think is lingeries. Truly nothing that I would wear, while in the bedroom so I don't quite get it.

The girls although lovely I found it hard to check out the outfits. There was special guest appearances by Joi, who did a cute little number entitled "Lick". I believe this might be some new music from Joi, Tennessee Slim herself. I hope so I like it. Tweet also made an Kitty Litter appearance. Although it was good to see Tweet perform since it has been awhile since she has graced us with her angelic voice, I was a bit disappointed that she did not wow me with some new material. But all the same she was looking beautiful as ever.

Besides seeing and meeting some new and faces. The event was a big disappointment for me. I was expecting much more from Micheal Knight. I still find it hard to believe that very much planning went into the event. The show lacked substance and the flow was slow going. Besides having to wait at 10 minutes between each performance and not knowing that Hennessey was providing free cocktails until about 2 hours after our arrival. I can say that in some weird way I look forward for what Mr. Knight will produce next. From what I am hearing is that Kitty Litter performance will happen every month. I guess we will have to wait and see.
